Includes 8 carols: "Angels From the Realms of Glory",
"Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella", "Carol of the Bells",
"Go Tell It On the Mountain (swing style)", "I Saw Three
Ships", "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", "O Come,
O Come Emmanuel", and "O Holy Night".
Like Volumes 2 and 3, the arrangements in "TQCC, Volume
4" are more complex than typical “SATB”
arrangements. They are written for trombones (not
transcribed from some other instrumentation), and each
arrangement has a fresh, unusual quality that catches
the listener’s ear. Although Volume 4 is rated
intermediate to advanced, it is slightly less difficult
than Volumes 2 and 3. Several of the arrangements in
this volume could probably be sightread on the gig by
competent players. Trombone 1 contains two Db5s
(m9 above middle C); one of these Db5s has an ossia.
Note: if you find volumes 2 and 3 a bit too challenging, try this
volume. I deliberately made these arrangements a little
easier, and am happy to say that they are just as interesting, if not
more so.
